The School is a recognized School of the University of London.
Instruction is given by modern methods in more than forty Oriental
and African languages, including Arabic, Turkish, Persian, Hindustani,
Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Chinese, Japanese, Swahili and Hausa.
Courses are also held in the history and religions of Asia and Africa.
Apart from the regular classes in languages, arrangements may be made
for special courses to suit the convenience of persons proceeding abroad
at short notice.
LIBRARY.
The Library of the School contains nearly 100 000 books and pamphlets
and 1000 manuscripts. It is open not only to students of the School but
also to scholars and other persons interested in Oriental and African Studies.
BULLETIN.
The Bulletin of the School of Oriental and African Studies, price 15/—
per part, is issued normally about twice a year and is published by
the School.
It contains contributions to the knowledge of Oriental and African
Languages, Culture, History and Literature. Considerable space is devoted
to reviews and notices of books on Oriental and African subjects.
All papers, &c., for which publication is sought should be sent to the
Editor at the School.
Authors and publishers wishing to have books reviewed should send
them to the Editor, to whom also applications for exchange of journals
from learned societies or Editors of other periodicals may be made.
All particulars may be obtained from the Secretary.

La Revue française du monde musulman
• Revue trimestrielle, fondée en 1926, publiée par les Pères de la
Compagnie de Jésus, Séminaire des Missions du Proche-Orient.
• Organe d’études et d’informations sur l’histoire, l’éthnographie, la langue,
la culture, la religion, etc. des pays musulmans.
• Comporte, en chaque fascicule, des articles de fond, des chroniques
d’actualité, des variétés littéraires ou autres, des documents officiels
ou privés, des recensions et références de livres ou articles récents
sur l’Islam.
• Fait paraître, chaque mois, un bulletin spécial, « Chroniques brèves »,
envoyé gratuitement aux abonnés, qui renseigne sur les événements
d’actualité (politiques, économiques, religieux...) des pays d’Islam.
