7jum hundertsten Male jährte sich am 16. Februar 1968 der Geburtstag 
P. Wilhelm Schmidts. Auf einer Festakademie, die das Anthropos-Institut %u 
Ehren seines Gründers veranstaltete, feierte Professor Helmut Petii, Köln, seinen 
ehemaligen Eebrer als „den großen Anreger völkerkundlicher Forschung . In einem 
Erinnerungshand, der als Band 21 der Studia Instituti Anthropos erscheinen wird, 
wollen die Mitglieder des Anthropos-Instituts ihren Altmeister ehren. Auch der 
Jahrgang 1968 (ßd. 6ß) des Anthropos, der mit diesem Heft beginnt, ist in beson 
derer Weise dem Andenken an P. W. Schmidt gewidmet; ist doch gerade der An- 
K. J. Narr
